I just got real vulnerable on a top ranked podcast
I shared parts of my story I’ve never said in a public forum.
My spot on the show was to talk about what I’ve been hammering lately: my warning about using AI in your creative process as a writer.
But this episode isn’t just about AI. It’s about my own dark night of the soul in finding my voice, and why I believe your heart should be the first source for your best ideas.
More and more people have been echoing my warning about AI. Billions are being spent to make us believe “AI is our friend.” USC Film School is now teaching AI tools to prepare students for life in the industry. If a big school like USC is using it, AI must be harmless... right?
And while many in Hollywood continue to hedge on what they really think, for business reasons, I went on a podcast that’s quietly built a strong following for questioning the status quo and said what most people in the writing space won’t:
But here’s what I’ve never shared:
My thoughts on AI aren’t just hot takes. I’ve seen what plumbing the depths of self can do for your work. I went into the darkest parts of my past to find my way out and gain a creative voice. Through 12-step and trauma therapy, I earned the foundation of my own creative authority.
And my writers do the same.
Writing isn’t just writing. It’s knowing yourself.
Because of what I’ve lived, I’m committed to helping writers protect what is sacred. By processing my own darkness and shame, I inspire my clients to make work that changes the way the reader perceives the world.
If you've been circling my coaching, now’s the time to learn more about me and where I’ll take you - and finally jump in.
